Certification

SWANA NLC administers the Alberta and Manitoba Landfill Operator Certification (LOC) Programs on behalf of the provincial governments. If you would like to become certified under the Alberta or Manitoba LOC Program, you must complete the provincial LOC Application Form (not included with LOB course registration). Group exam sittings via Zoom are scheduled following each LOB course – only approved applicants can write the exam. In order to write the exam soon after taking an LOB course, your LOC application must be received by the SWANA NLC office no later than 4 weeks prior to course begin.
