Roland Rusnell

Roland Rusnell is a career waste management professional.  He began this career in 1998 when he joined the City of Saskatoon Environmental Services Department.  He has served in a variety of positions, working with waste collection personnel, recycling, waste disposal and composting. Recent work includes conceptual design of a major transfer station called Recovery Park, operation planning and execution of the compost program including contract writing and management. Roland serves on the board of directors of the SWANA Northern Lights Chapter and is  become a faculty member for SWANA’s training courses in Landfill and Transfer Station Operations, and Composting Management. He has a diploma in Engineering Technology from Lethbridge College. Roland grew up on a farm near Lucky Lake, SK. He is married with two grown children.
